There are many sides fighting to influence our world view

We need to listen to all of them (free speech)

Including what the mainstream media refuses to cover

The rest of us are entitled to our perspectives:

Shia Muslims, men’s rights, socialists, etc.

Amphiist is a Greek word meaning looking at both sides

Mainstream media perspective

The mainstream media would have you believe that extremism is a very good thing. However, Amphiist is anti-extremism. For example, let’s look at the altright, the political group in the US. They are white nationalist racists who believe that white people are superior to others. They believe that a member of one race should not marry a person from another race (yes, these people still exist!). Of course, for the most part, the altright are awful people, or else they wouldn’t feel comfortable being part of a group that holds such reprehensible positions.

The Other Side

However, they are not wrong 100% of the time. Think of the Waltons and how that show displayed a white family living a simple agricultural life. Not all white people are horrible, just white racists. We should not make martyrs out of the altright. We should not help them with their victim narrative so that people feel sorry for them and donate money to them. Funding is where they get their power to protest, etc. We need to starve them of the oxygen of publicity. We need to make sure that the youth, who are sincerely trying to find the answers for how to solve society’s contemporary ills. We need to make sure that the altright does not appear glamorous or that they are deserving of a second look. The mainstream media sometimes goes too far in criticizing such groups. It’s understandable, because the media is trying to protect the youth, for example, from making a mistake in whom they support.

We should condemn the altright for its racist beliefs, but we should never lie about them to make them look worse than they already are. We should matter-of-factly describe their horrible pasts (such as Tommy Robinson’s). He is a career criminal, a thug, etc. But we should not tell lies about him, because once the lies are discovered, then he will be a figure of sympathy. We wish to avoid that at all costs.

You sound Jewish, and you’re wrong.
All the things you dislike about Nick are EXACTLY why he is the right side in this.

I agree. I am going to put a disclaimer that my views have changed. Fuentes has won me over with his charm. I am still against any display of the nazi mindset, but I overlooked his fantastic sense of humour and work ethic, etc. An amphiist always admits when they are wrong. Thanks for the feedback!
