Mainstream media
The mainstream media does not advocate for any particular religion, except in an indirect way, the New Age religion which several philosophers from the past have espoused. Although the occult dates back to Greek mythology and no doubt before, in modern times, names that are often mentioned in conjunction with this world view include Helena P Blavatsky, Manly P Hall, Benjamin Crème, and the wickedest man in the world, Alesteir Crowley. Blavatsky’s theosophy moved beyond Christianity. Hall was a member of the highest realm in both Freemasony and the Illuminati. Crème also advocated for a post Christian, humanist-centered world. Crowley worked with magic and summoning demons because he was totally committed to advancing Lucifer’s cause.(Turn over page for other perspective)
The Other Side
Personally, I am torn between Islam and the New Age. The advantages to Islam are that it encourages morality. Many Muslims I’ve met personally have strong family values. However, according to its critics, Islam does not allow for freedom of speech. It is not compatible with democracy. Muslims’ collective mindset is not as advanced as the West in some areas. The advantages to the New Age is that asks important questions about Christianity. If Christ was supposed to die for our sins, as a result of Lucifer tempting Eve to sin, thereby creating original sin in all human beings which had to be atoned for, wasn’t Lucifer’s role necessary? Why would a loving God punish him for his integral role in the plan of salvation? One of the fascinating premises of the New Age religion is Lucifer represents good, and God evil. Lucifer is good, according to this line of reasoning, because he is the one who wanted humanity to be free, possessing as much knowledge as possible. New Age also promises sexual freedom. Few admit it, but we are all extremely sexual beings, and any stream of thought which does not recognize this seems limited. The disadvantage is there’s a certain contempt for humanity as expressed in the New Age. The credo of depopulation is a central example in how the masses are dehumanized inconveniences. Then again, the vast majority of people are selfish and unintelligent, so it is tempting for the intellectual elite to dismiss their needs when in conflict with their own.
