Tommy Robinson supporters

Tommy Robinson was arrested yesterday for violating restricted regulations respective to journalists concerning reporting on sex abuse trials such as what’s going on with the grooming gang trials in the UK. Robinson’s defenders try to obfuscate by pretending he was arrested for hate speech, manifestly not the case. They say that he is being railroaded because he is not popular with British law enforcement since he is highlighting the issue of young girls being raped and they for some unknown reason wish to cover this up. His supporters also state that the media has banned coverage of the incident, which proves that they are covering up for bad people. These are the kind of people who got triggered over a joke tweet of mine about the rape Robinson could face in jail.I was merely making the point that if he is in a cell with Muslims, he could be in for some trouble.

The Other Side

Robinson makes his money by spreading hate about Muslims in Britain. He highlights anything a Muslim does which is criminal. He co-writes books which lie about what’s contained in the Quran. He yells and incites violence against Muslims.

There are clear rules in British law with regard to citizens not capturing on film anything to do with sex abuse trials. This is so that the jury and/or judge is not prejudiced. (rapists could be set free in a mistrial). Last year, Robinson received a suspended sentence for such interference, and was warned that if it happened again, he could face jail time.

I have heard the supposition that Robinson got arrested on purpose to make himself look like a martyr, and also to make money (like Count Dankula did in his recent trial, because a lot of these men’s supporters are only too willing to financially support their terrorist heroes). It’s possible.

The British government has an obligation to protect citizens from the hate preachers like Robinson espouse. Crazy people exaggerate what he says and then violence occurs, usually directed at innocents. Therefore, the UK ban on media coverage of this incident is entirely justified.
