Michael Jackson is one of the greatest singers to ever have lived. However, those who possess genius sometimes possess money, and sometimes possess too much money. His fortune is estimated to be about 1 billion dollars. I’m not sure about this, given the precarious state of his financial affairs which led to the aborted comeback tour, but the 1 billion dollar figure is what is being reported.

 

His will left the bulk of his estate to his mother, Katherine Jackson, and to his children. However, that does not sit well with his siblings. They have signed an affidavit which suggests that the will is not legitimate. Probably because they weren’t mentioned! Be that as it may, they are contesting the validity of the will. In the event that Katherine dies before Michael’s children reach adulthood, Diana Ross is to raise the children. I kid you not. So much for the love of family that the Jacksons always vaunt.

 

I have read a lot about the Jackson family and one of the things that has struck me, in spite of their constant proclamations about how close they all are, is how in their books, they will mention how they did not see one of their brothers or sisters for months on end. How is this possible if they are so close? Perhaps if they had all ready been as close as they pretend, Michael would still be alive. It’s a shame that they have all come so far from that tight-knit family in Gary, Indiana, where their dreams and everything else were shared. The introduction of massive amounts of money injected the family with poison and now their bloodstream is quickened by lucre, rather than love. This might seem unfair, but let’s all remember the confrontation that Janet and her niece Paris recently engaged in. Paris has been tweeting recently, during Katherine’s disappearance, that whoever is responsible for it will pay dearly. Janet criticized supposedly Paris giving away too much in her tweets. There is videotape which shows that the confrontation became physical. What a shame.

 

Katherine allegedly went missing over the previous weekend but she was found playing Uno with daughter Rebbie and friends at Rebbie’s home in Arizona. Perhaps she fled to the sanctuary of Rebbie’s house to get away from the family squabbling over the will? By the way, Rebbie’s is one of the names attached to the affidavit questioning the legitimacy of Michael’s will!
