This article on the implementation of martial law in Boston is very interesting. The author, Patrick Henningsen, makes the point that the general population was almost begging for martial law to be enforced so that they would feel safe. I thought this was an important point because many conspiracy theorists over the years that made the claim that the reason false flag operations exist is so that the government can implement martial law and have more control over its citizens.
What does martial law mean on a practical level? In Boston over the past week, it has meant people not being allowed to leave their homes. There are curfews, which mean people who absolutely must be outside have to be back in by a certain hour. There were door to door searches, also according to this article. This is significant, because it is possible that authorities could find out information on citizens under the guise of the Boston Marathon bombings investigation.
Because of what Dzokhar Tsarnaev and his brother are alleged to have done, the Department of Homeland Security will likely exercise significantly more power than they did before the attacks. Maybe that was the point after all? That is what conspiracy theorists believe. The writer of the article links to evidence that the Tsarnaev brothers were in fact not the bombers. I encourage you to read his excellent article and follow the relevant links. His article closes with a list of interesting questions about the tragedy, but before he asks them, he makes the important point that a commentator on MSNBC referred to police questioning of Dzokhar Tsarnaev as a debriefing, which does not suggest an investigation of a potential criminal, but instead more of a set of instructions on what he is supposed to say and/or do.
