There have been others in the past who have committed felonies, including past American presidents. And they have not been arrested. Trump supporters use this as an argument as to why, even if he is guilty, he should not have been found guilty. However, an amphiist would point out (read under Jaclyn Holland-Strauss’s brand on the righthand side of the screen) for a full-fledged definition of amphiism) that two wrongs don’t make a right. If it’s wrong to not arrest former felonious presidents then it’s wrong to not arrest Trump. If it’s right to arrest such past presidents, then it’s right to arrest Trump. So the traditional argument of Trump supporters is disingenuous, to say the least.
